From our CEO, Edward Bowen: Thanks for taking the time to visit our website! We hope that you are able to take advantage of one or more of our services that we offer. We are a clinic, located in a church building, that wants to serve our community. However you have come into contact with Hopelight, our desire is to offer compassion and grace to you and your family! Hopelight serves as a primary care clinic for uninsured and Medicaid patients in Northern Colorado. Several of our providers specialize in Pediatric and Family Medicine. We also have a team of specialists on staff in the areas of Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Otolaryngology.
Dr. Steve Haskew
Medical Director
Dr. Haskew is a Pediatrics and Family Medicine Specialist and has been Hopelight’s medical director since 2014. He graduated from University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1970.
Carey Kercher, LCSW
Clinic & Social Services Director
Carey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has served as the Clinic Director since 2019. She is a graduate of the University of Denver and cares passionately about serving families in Boulder County.

Shyll Bowen, BCBA
Clinical Services & Behavioral Health Director
Shyll Bowen is the director of Hopelight Behavioral Health. She holds a master’s degree in special education and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Shyll has worked with children, both typically developing and with special developmental needs, for over 30 years. She has taught and served as a behavioral specialist for children in preschool through high school in both private and public settings in the various locations in the United States and abroad. Shyll provides professional development for teachers and parent training courses. She is also the coordinator of behavioral support groups, and health coaching for Hopelight Medical Clinic.
